The European Design Awards (EDA ) recognize the best work in graphic design, illustration and digital design in Europe. Every year in Italy, excellent design projects are honored in 9 areas and various categories. The EDAs are among the most prestigious awards in the European design scene and offer the winners international recognition and visibility.
In July 2021, a devastating flood destroyed the Ahr valley and the vineyards of Meike and Dörte Näkel. Nine intact barrels of Pinot Noir were later found and found their way back. The agency Ruska Martin Associates developed the strategy and implementation for this unique project, which was staged like a work of art and integrated into a global wine tasting tour. The deep emotions on which Lost Barrels is based run impressively through the entire story, design and implementation.
