At the turn of the year 2025/26, CARINI completes the generational change in management. The traditional family business is thus setting the course for a long-term, stable future and is consistently focusing on continuity, responsibility and sustainable corporate management.
After more than 33 years with the company and more than 24 years in management, Edgar Sohm is handing over his role as Managing Director at his own request. The fourth generation of company management is now assuming full responsibility for the further development of CARINI.
The transition is the result of a long-term, carefully planned process and underlines the responsible organization of corporate succession at CARINI.
“This step is the result of a long, deliberate process,” explains Edgar Sohm.
“I am looking forward to being able to concentrate fully on sales again in future – an area that has always been very close to my heart.”
This step means that valuable experience is retained within the company and is used in a targeted manner where it creates the greatest added value: close to customers and markets.
From January 2026, Edgar Sohm will focus increasingly on supporting his key accounts and international customers. In this role, he will continue to actively contribute his extensive market and industry knowledge and support CARINI in strategic customer development.
The reallocation of responsibilities within the Management Board was initiated in the fall of 2025 and was completed at the turn of the year. This ensures both operational continuity and seamless strategic development.
The owners Andrea and Thomas Sohm pay tribute to Edgar Sohm’s many years of service:
