At the beginning of 2025, the fourth generation takes over the management of CARINI GmbH. A strong team consisting of Edgar Sohm, Simon Sohm, Christian Zoll and Michael Dür focuses on innovation, sustainability and digitalization.
The course is set for a successful future
At the beginning of 2025, CARINI GmbH took a decisive step in its company history and completed a significant generational change. The traditional family business, which has stood for quality and innovation since 1939, is now managed by the fourth generation. This lays the foundation for the sustainable further development of the company and the continuation of its success story.
Thomas Sohm hands over to the next generation
After decades in which Thomas Sohm played a leading role in developing the company from a small business into a medium-sized industrial enterprise, the long-standing Managing Director is handing over operational management to a strong team from the next generation. “It is a great honor for me to hand over CARINI as a healthy and future-oriented family business into the hands of the next generation,” explains Thomas Sohm. As a shareholder and owner’s representative, he will remain involved with the company in order to contribute his valuable experience and expertise.
“I am convinced that the new management team will continue to successfully develop the company with passion, innovative ideas and a clear view of the future,” continued Sohm. This generational change is the result of careful, long-term planning that will ensure the successful continuation and further sustainable growth of CARINI.
A strong and committed management team takes responsibility
Since January 1, 2025, a broad-based team has taken over the management of CARINI:
Edgar Sohm (CEO) brings more than 30 years of experience to the company and will be responsible for Human Resources and Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Management (QSGU). He will also devote more time to sales and further expand the company in this area.
Simon Sohm (Managing Director) takes over the management of the production areas, as well as in-house technology, application technology and pre-press. As the fourth generation in the family business, he provides important impetus for the future-oriented development of the company.
Christian Zoll (Managing Director), lawyer and former Managing Director of the Vorarlberg Federation of Industry, will take over responsibility for sales, marketing and finance. With his experience, he will further strengthen CARINI on the market and open up new opportunities.
Michael Dür (authorized signatory) heads the Supply Chain Management division, extends his responsibilities to IT and work preparation and contributes valuable lean management expertise to further optimize the company’s processes and increase efficiency.
Focus on the future: innovation, sustainability and digitalization
With this strong management team, CARINI is focusing on the continuous optimization of workflows, even greater automation and digitalization of processes and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and product quality. Sustainability and improving the ecological footprint are also key issues that the company is pursuing responsibly.
