Your labels are the only product ads that 100% of your customers get to see. Whether buying online or offline, consumers hold the product in their hands at least once. Therefore, it is important to ensure the quality of the label throughout the entire product life cycle. This is because damage or excessive wear not only affects the image of your brand, but can also cause functional problems.
On the way from the bottling plant to the customer, the label is often exposed to mechanical stresses. It is not uncommon for products to be placed close together in the carton unprotected during transport and for the labels to rub against each other. This can lead to scratches as well as other surface damage and thus to visually severe impairments. In addition, liquids such as chemicals can affect the label at any time.
Varnishes and laminates can protect against this.
Both options will shield your label, with laminate offering the higher level of protection. Laminate is a separate film that adheres over your label. Varnish, on the other hand, involves the application of a clear resin that is then UV cured. The choice of which option to go for depends on the environmental impact throughout the product’s life cycle. And of course, design also plays an important role.
Both varnishes and laminates can be used not only as a protective layer but also as a design element.
There are different types of laminates, such as glossy, semi-glossy, matt as well as special soft touch films, with which you can additionally enhance the effect of your label.
The processing of matt, gloss and glitter varnishes as well as fluorescent varnish variants also opens up versatile possibilities to significantly increase the value and originality of a label. You can choose between full-surface and spot varnishing. With spot varnishing, we apply the varnish to a very specific part of your label (logo, coat of arms, lettering or other design elements) to create an attractive contrast to the rest of the material. Whether glossy, fluorescent, glittery, matt or textured – CARINI is always pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this area too.
