In the past, silver paper had to be used for finishing with metallic inks in digital printing. Today, however, you have a free choice of materials to print on: Thanks to our possibilities, the printing of metallic inks is possible on a wide variety of – also structured – papers and films. However, the actual visual effect of the metallic inks is highly dependent on the chosen substrate.
Metallic labels can be found wherever products need to stand out to the end consumer or retailer. This applies not only to luxury items, but also to the cosmetics, body care and food sectors in general. Even cleaning products, chemical products as well as consumer goods are given an impressive visual appearance by metallic colours. The silver metallic ink is – like all our other digital printing inks – certified for indirect food contact. In addition, the production of the labels is resource-friendly compared to other processes, as the use of digital printing technology saves energy and material.
